Some airsoft guns have threaded barrels or threaded muzzles which allows them to accept a variety of attachments. However, not all attachments are created equal, and thread pitch, count as well as thread direction - clockwise (CW) or counterclockwise (CCW), for example - can vary.
Here we offer a number of different threaded airsoft adapters that you can use to make your favorite AEGs and other airsoft guns compatible with faux cans, brakes, and flash hiders, among other attachments.
Before use, ensure that you are in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, and call us if you have any questions.
BARREL ADAPTERS
Airsoft Barrel Adapters, Thread Converters & Mount Adapters
We stock airsoft adapters for three different jobs: thread converters that let a muzzle device fit a barrel it wasn't built for, mount adapters that let a stock or accessory clip onto a platform it wasn't designed for, and battery extension adapters that free up room in a tight stock. The lineup here comes from PTS, COWCOW, Heretic Labs, Airtech Studios, and ASG, covering CW to CCW thread conversions, Wolverine-style HPA mounts, and PDW battery extension tubes. If your gun's threading, mount, or battery compartment doesn't match the part you want to run, this is the category that fixes it.
CW to CCW Thread Adapters for Suppressors, Flash Hiders & Comps
Most muzzle devices on the market, tracers, mock suppressors, flash hiders, comps, are built around a 14mm CCW thread. A lot of pistols and some rifles don't ship with that thread pattern, which is where a CW to CCW adapter comes in. It threads onto your existing barrel and gives you the 14mm CCW pattern those attachments expect, without replacing the barrel itself.
The COWCOW and ASG adapters in this category cover some of the more common conversions, including 11mm CW to 14mm CCW for GBB pistols and 18mm CCW to 14mm CCW for guns like the Scorpion EVO. Thread direction matters as much as size here. A CW thread and a CCW thread can look nearly identical at a glance, and forcing the wrong one on will strip it.
Checking Your Gun's Thread Pattern Before You Order
Look at your outer barrel from the front and check which way the threads wind, or pull up your gun's spec sheet if you still have it. If neither tells you what you need to know, call us with your gun's make and model and we'll confirm the thread pattern before you order the wrong adapter.
Stock, Mount & Battery Adapters for HPA and PDW Builds
Not every adapter here is about muzzle threading. If you're running a Wolverine-style HPA system, a drop stock adapter like the one from Heretic Labs lets you mount a different stock platform onto that engine without machining anything yourself. If you're building a PDW-length AEG on a KWA Ronin 6, TK.45C, T6 Tactical, KO series, or QRF Mod platform and keep running out of room for a full-size battery, the Airtech Studios battery extension tube adds the extra length you need without switching to a smaller, shorter-running battery.
How to Pick the Right Adapter for Your Build
- Know your starting thread or mount. Every adapter here converts from one specific size or platform to another. There's no universal fit, so match your gun's existing thread, mount, or battery compartment against the adapter's listed specs before you buy.
- Match the attachment you're adding. If you already own the suppressor, flash hider, or stock you want to run, check its thread size or mount type first, then work backward to the adapter that bridges the two.
- Call us if you're not sure. Between CW/CCW threading, HPA mount standards, and platform-specific battery compartments, it's easy to order the wrong one. We'd rather help you get it right the first time than process a return.
Follow your local, state, and federal laws regarding muzzle devices and attachments before installing anything on your gun.
Airsoft Adapter FAQ
What does an airsoft barrel adapter do?
It changes the thread pattern on your gun's outer barrel so it can accept a muzzle device it wasn't originally built for, most often a suppressor, flash hider, or tracer unit with a different thread size or direction.
How do I know if my gun has CW or CCW threads?
Check which direction the threads wind on your outer barrel, or check your gun's spec sheet. If you're still not sure, call us with your gun's model and we can tell you what thread pattern it uses.
Will one adapter fit any AEG or GBB pistol?
No. Adapters are built for specific thread sizes, pitches, and mounts, so a Hi-Capa thread adapter won't fit a Scorpion EVO, and a KWA Ronin battery extension tube won't fit a different platform's stock. Check the listed specs against your gun before ordering.
Do you carry anything besides muzzle thread adapters?
Yes. This category also covers Wolverine-style HPA drop stock adapters and PDW battery extension tubes, alongside the CW/CCW thread converters.
