Airsoft Shotguns | Pump-Action Gas and Spring Airsoft Shotguns
An airsoft shotgun fires several BBs per pull for a wide spread at close range, which makes it a favorite for tight spaces, doorways, and CQB. Pump-action models load BBs through shells and chamber a fresh shell with every pump.
How Airsoft Shotguns Work With Shells and Pump Action
You load BBs into a shell, slide the shell into the shotgun, and pump the action to chamber it. Depending on the model, each shot fires one or several BBs at once. Gas shotguns run on green gas, and spring models cock with the pump.
Airsoft Shotguns for CQB and Close-Range Games
The spread opens quickly, so shotguns work best inside CQB distances where the pattern still covers a doorway. Some fields set minimum engagement distances or limit multi-BB shots, so read your field's rules before you bring one.
Airsoft Shotgun Questions
What gas does an airsoft shotgun use?
Gas shotguns run on green gas, which goes into a built-in reservoir or into the shells themselves depending on the design. The product details show where your model holds its gas. Stock up on green gas and CO2 before game day.
How many shells should I carry for an airsoft shotgun?
Shells hold a fixed number of BBs, so most players carry several pre-loaded shells on a side-saddle or in a belt pouch. Browse airsoft shotgun shells and add pouches to carry them.
Is an airsoft shotgun a good first airsoft gun?
Shotguns work best as a secondary or specialty weapon because reloading shells slows the pace compared with an AEG. Start with a rifle or a pistol, then add a shotgun once you know you want the close-range role.
Most shotguns shoot either one bb at a time or 3 bbs at a time. Shotguns can either be spring powered or gas powered using green gas. Here at MiR Tactical, we have airsoft shotguns for sale from top brands including Cyma, Double Eagle, Valken, Elite Force, Jag Arms and more!
