Airsoft Helmet Mounts for Night Vision Goggles
Most airsoft players running an NVG on their helmet are running a dummy unit for the look and the loadout, not real night vision, and the mount is what makes that setup sit right. We carry both aluminum and titanium mounts, so you can balance cost against weight depending on how much else you're stacking on your helmet.
How to Mount an NVG to Your Helmet
Your helmet needs a shroud on the front before any of these mounts will attach, the mount clips onto the shroud, then your NVG unit clips onto the mount. If your helmet doesn't already have a shroud, grab one from our helmet accessories page first.
Aluminum vs. Titanium Mounts: Which to Choose
Aluminum mounts cost less and hold up fine for most players. Titanium costs more but shaves weight off the front of your helmet, which matters more than you'd think after a few hours of wearing one. If you're already running a bump helmet, a mask, and a light, titanium is worth the upgrade. If your setup is lighter, aluminum does the job.
FAQ
How do I attach an NVG mount to my helmet?
Bolt a shroud to the front of your helmet first, then clip the mount onto the shroud. Most mounts adjust for height and angle once attached, so you can dial in the fit before locking it down.
Do I need a shroud before I buy an NVG mount?
Yes, the mount attaches to the shroud, not directly to the helmet shell. If your helmet doesn't already have one, pick one up first.
What's the difference between the aluminum and titanium mounts?
Aluminum is heavier but less expensive. Titanium costs more and cuts down on front-heavy weight, which pays off if you're stacking other gear on the same helmet.
