Replace or upgrade your AEG air nozzle with high-quality parts from MiR Tactical. We carry aluminum and polymer nozzles in a variety of lengths to match popular gearboxes and hop-up configurations. A well-fitted air nozzle improves compression, air seal, and BB feeding, which helps increase both consistency and performance. Ideal for techs, competitive players, and anyone looking to fine-tune their AEG.
AIR NOZZLES
Airsoft Air Nozzles | Sealing and Feeding Parts for Every Gearbox
The nozzle is a small part doing two critical jobs at once: feeding a fresh BB into the hop-up chamber and sealing air pressure behind it so that pressure reaches the BB instead of leaking past. We carry airsoft air nozzles across V2 and other gearbox platforms, in standard and upgraded metal and POM builds.
What Does an Airsoft Air Nozzle Do
An airsoft nozzle moves back and forth in sync with the tappet plate on every cycle. On the way back, it clears space for a fresh BB to drop from the magazine into the hop-up chamber. On the way forward, it presses against the rubber hop-up bucking to seal that chamber and direct compressed air from the cylinder straight through the BB, which is what determines your muzzle velocity.
Airsoft Nozzle Length and Fit
Nozzle length is more sensitive than most players expect, a difference of even a tenth of a millimeter can cause feeding jams or double-feeding. Measure your stock nozzle with digital calipers before ordering a replacement rather than assuming a standard length will fit, since even guns on the same general gearbox version can use slightly different nozzle lengths.
Airsoft Nozzle Materials and O-Rings
Upgraded nozzles are typically machined from metal or POM (a durable engineering plastic) rather than the stock polymer most guns ship with. Many upgraded nozzles also add an internal O-ring to stop air leaking past the nozzle itself, which improves shot-to-shot consistency beyond what the bucking seal alone can deliver.
Airsoft Nozzle Compatibility by Platform
Most standard M4-pattern AEGs run a Version 2 nozzle length, but this isn't universal. G36, AK, and other specialized platforms often require a different length, ranging from under 20mm to over 24mm depending on the gun. Confirm your platform's exact spec, and ideally measure your existing part, before ordering a replacement.
What to Look for in an Airsoft Air Nozzle
Once you know your gearbox version and platform, a few details separate a clean fit from a feeding problem waiting to happen.
Exact Length
Measure your stock nozzle with calipers rather than relying on gearbox version alone, since small length differences between manufacturers cause real feeding issues.
Material
Metal and POM nozzles resist wear and cracking better than stock polymer, particularly on guns that see heavy or frequent use.
O-Ring Presence
An internal O-ring improves the air seal beyond what the bucking alone provides, worth prioritizing if you're chasing consistency gains.
Airsoft Air Nozzle FAQ
Why is my airsoft gun double-feeding or jamming?
A mismatched nozzle length is one of the most common causes. Even a small difference from your gun's correct spec can throw off feeding timing.
How do I know what nozzle length I need?
Measure your existing stock nozzle with digital calipers rather than assuming a standard length based on gearbox version alone.
Do all M4 AEGs use the same nozzle?
Most use a Version 2 length, but not universally. Confirm your platform's exact spec before ordering.
What does an O-ring add to a nozzle?
It seals against air leaking past the nozzle itself, improving consistency beyond what the hop-up bucking's seal provides on its own.
Is a metal nozzle better than a stock polymer one?
For durability under heavy use, yes. Metal and POM nozzles resist wear and cracking better than the polymer parts most guns ship with.
