Product Overview
The MAWL® family of VIZ/IR weapon laser/illuminators is currently in use and deployed with a variety of U.S. and international defense, government, and law enforcement agencies as the standard weapon laser/illuminator. The MAWL® departs from the typical box design and is designed for exceptional ergonomics to benefit use under stress, in the dark, with gloves on, and is modular for configuring for left- or right-hand shooters.
The officially licensed PTS MAWL-PTS is a fully functional multi-function laser illuminator/aiming device. The MAWL-PTS device functions are divided into three Modes: OFF, Visible Mode (VIS), and infrared Mode (IR). These modes are further divided into three Sub-Modes: SHORT, MID and LONG Range with two different functions in each sub-mode.
The device can emit a visible laser pointer* in VIZ mode and, in IR mode, can emit an 850nm invisible infrared (IR) illumination beam, or an 850nm IR pointer beam or both with variable power settings for different distances. The pointer beams and the illuminator are adjustable for windage and elevation and are co-aligned.
The MAWL-PTS Bundle Kit comes with the following additional attachments to enhance its functionality and versatility.
- PTS Unity Tactical AXON™ - It provides dual-device control, allowing users to operate both lights and lasers with a single, compact intuitive switch.
- Multitasker Nano – This one-piece tool engineered for optics adjustments.
- PTS Unity Tactical RAXIS™ - It rotates the axis of the traditional off-center position of the MAWL PTS, bringing the laser up onto the M1913 rail and within the profile of the receiver
